Community Involvement

Baird has a long tradition of giving back in the communities where our associates live and work, and many give generously of their time, talents and personal resources to local organizations. Our associates also support annual firm level campaigns to raise funds for local and national charities. And our Baird Foundation provides financial support for causes ranging from fighting homelessness and hunger to promoting education and the arts.

Other ways Baird supports associates’ passion for giving back include Baird Gives Back Week; an event encouraging associates to team up in their communities and volunteer in a range of activities, including tutoring students, working with seniors, building homes and cleaning up parks.

The Koinonia Foundation is a nonprofit organization serving individuals with disabilities across East Tennessee through inclusive educational, recreational, and wellness programs. Supporting participants from age seven through adulthood, Koinonia empowers people to build confidence, develop independence, and form meaningful connections within a strong, supportive community.

On May 7th, 2026, Koinonia is having a special event to celebrate members of the program and fundraise to support its mission. Amy Carter, a member of our team, will be joining fashion show participants Madison and Katie as they take on the runway at their Custom Made Fashion Show! We hope to see you there. Holston Home for Children is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting children and families facing significant life challenges.  Grounded in faith-based values; its work centers on compassion, care, and long-term positive outcomes for the families it serves. Baird Knoxville is proud to be a supporter of this organization and the important work they do in our community.

The Knoxville Dream Center serves individuals and households across the Knoxville area by providing access to nutritious food and community‑based assistance. Through organized food distribution, volunteer engagement, and local partnerships, the organization focuses on meeting essential needs while encouraging personal growth and opportunity, initiatives we are grateful to support.

Baird Knoxville is proud to support  Emerald Youth Foundation's JustLead program is committed to ministering with Knoxville’s urban young people right where they live, attend school and play.

JustLead’s afterschool program for elementary and middle school students includes tutoring, homework help, health/fitness/nutrition instruction, field trips and service learning opportunities. Additionally, we offer discipleship opportunities for all ages, including mid-week Bible study, small groups, corporate worship and inter-generational faith activities.

Baird Knoxville is proud to support  Helen Ross McNabb Foundation Since its founding in 1972, the Helen Ross McNabb Foundation has worked diligently to support the work of the McNabb Center. In addition to providing leadership and direction, the Foundation’s staff and 26-member volunteer board actively raises, holds and invests funds on behalf of the Center. Funds raised by the Foundation over the years have contributed greatly toward the stability and growth of the Center. The Foundation raises funds through several avenues.
